Armed attacker kills 9 people in an Egyptian church (Photo)

The striker on Friday has tried to enter the Mar Mina church in the town of Helwan, south of Cairo.

Security forces report the murder of the gunman, reports “Alzeera”, the Periscope broadcast.

Local reports say there is a second assailant for whom there is still no clue where he is found.

Those killed are of the Christian faith.

Security professor from the Doha Omar Assour Institute told “AlJazeera” that “Egypt has so far been involved in the 2,000 attacks in the last three years”.

There are two issues, one is the political crisis in Egypt that emerged after 2013. This has not been resolved and is creating more and more recruits and radicalisations for the armed groups of various forms”, he added.
