The rumors suggested that Apple deliberately rejected the speed of the iPhone's battery in order to prevent cell phone life from falling over time.
Today the company confirmed these claims and said the practice will continue with other products in the future.
In a message to TechCrunch, Apple said she issued a feature for iPhone 6, iPhone 6s and SE iPhones to preserve the battery's life over time and also to prevent telephone closure in cold weather conditions.
The company also confirmed that iPhone 7 took this feature with the update of iOS 11.2 with more equipment to track.
Replacing the battery may be a solution for some iPhone users who do not want to buy a completely new device.
