A series of new developments followed during the year we left the ANP “Adem Jashari”, which has broken the record in terms of the number of processed travelers.
Out of 35 airlines operating through 2017 at ANP “Adem Jashari”/ Limak Kosovo, over 30 different destinations have been served worldwide. For the first time in airport history, the figure of approximately 1.9 million travelers is expected to be reached, breaking last year's record. In comparison to 2016, this number has increased by about 9 percent, since the number of flights has reached about 150,000, or 5 percent more from the previous year.
Being particularly focused on promoting low-cost airline companies, ANP “Adem Jashari” since April has offered flights to Budapest at two frequencies a week served by the Wizzair Air Company to continue with new direct flights to London at the start of the summer season. New flights during the summer season also served Norwegian Air, which has operated the Helsinki-Pristina-Helsinki hotline and the Goteburg-Pristina-Goteburg line. On the other hand, 2017 has been characterised with accepting 8 international awards.
In addition to increasing the number of travelers and flights during the year we are leaving behind, Limak has continued with multi-pronged corporate responsibility projects to society. After the certificate at the first level of the Aeroport Cardcation programme, ANP “Adem Jashari” has implemented management programmes that have affected carbon levels reduction for 12% and thus is certified at the second level of this program, +2 Reducing. One of the company's priorities remains to advance to the highest levels of this programme to positively influence environmental protection.
The next innovation in increased quality of services has also had with the launching of the new concept “Airport Heller”, which means that airport staff readiness to offer aid to travelers outside their primary duties.
We thank all the travelers who have chosen our services and continue to work on providing the most favourable conditions to airline companies to operate at ANP Adem Jasharı.
