Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghan has apologised to all women for what he had said about the traditional scarves.
On Saturday, he has responded to his claims that some state officials are linked to the so-called Islamic State. He had further stated that people should be given evidence or wear women's headscarves, the BBC writes, forwarded Klan Kosova.
This has prompted the response of people whom his comments have described as sexist.
But then Ghan has apologized to women who have felt offended and that he has added his comments have been misinterpreted.
In a stance he has said: the president is a prominent lawyer of women's rights and has taken unique steps to strengthen and maintain their position since taking office as president of Afghanistan”.
