These are 28 candidates for governor of Kosovo Central Bank

Following Bedri Hamza's resignation from the Kosovo Central Bank's position of governor for this position, 28 candidates have applied.

Hamza was appointed finance minister at Haradinaj Government. The Kosovo Central Bank Board leads the recruiting process.

They after the interview propose to the Parliament a close list of successful candidates.

The Kosovo government has the right to take a stand for one of the candidates, but it is the Kosovo Assembly, which must choose the BEC governor. Following the vote by the Parliament, the governor must also get the approval of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.

Under the Law for the Central Bank of Kosovo, the governor as chief executive chief of the BEC is part of this institution's board and executive board chairman.

Article 38 of this Law also defines the way her boss is appointed.

At the point of this article, the governor and non-executive members of the Central Bank board are named for a five-year term.

The list of all applicants considered by the panel that they have fulfilled the criteria will be sent to the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo and Government, which can give a decision on the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo, provided this idea is sent to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo within 15 to 15 days.

From that list, the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo will select an individual for each position on the central bank board to be completed.
