YouTube has removed 50 channels with inappropriate content for children

YouTube has stepped up efforts to eliminate videos about children who had violent and sexual content after the heavy criticism that came toward the company.

The world's most popular video platform eliminated at least 50 user channels last week and blocked advertising for 3.5 million videos.

YouTube is one of the fastest growing Google operations. However, parents, regulators, advertisers, and law enforcement agencies have added concerns about the open nature of the service.

They've asked Google to do more to block and stop inappropriate videos for children.

The first reports came two weeks ago showing this dark side of YouTube. The company is based on users' demands, an expert panel and algorithms to moderate content.

Cartels like Spider-Man and Elsa from Frozen film have been watched millions of times appear firing guns.

But there are videos that haven't been reported and continue to hold ads. Such content is automatically blocked on the YouTube Kids app.

They cannot be seen even if children enter the website only if they are locked in with an adult account.

However, according to the New York Times, there have been times when such videos have <x0 charactersh” and published on the site and child app.
