Legendary vocalist Jon Hendrick died Wednesday at the age of 96.
The singer's unique style helped him climb to the tops of the world's music and was often named as “poet jazz laureate”.
News of death has confirmed his daughter Arya for the newspaper “The New York Times”.

He was known during the years, '50s as part of the famous Lambert, Hendrick and Ross Tribe.
His greatest success was in his solo career when he was best able to display the skill of vocal style.
He was known for creating verses “aty right here” of well-known instrumentals, including those of “Count Basie Orchestra” and “Horace Silver Quentet”.
