It had started with protests in the Parliament and abroad and tear gas, rejecting the agreement reached between Kosovo and Montenegro on the state border issue in the two countries.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, among the first decisions he had made as head of government, was the dismissal of the state's Commission for Demarcing at the helm with Murat Meha and the appointment of the new Commission, at the helm of which is the former LDK delegation, Speed Bulqi.
On Monday, the current State Commission for State Border Marking and Maintaining has reported before the Commission for European Integration on its findings regarding Kosovo's demarcation of the border with Montenegro.
In this report, members of the European Integration Commission have reacted by saying no new findings have been presented at this presentation.
After this report to the Parliament, the U.S. Embassy has also reacted, where through a press statement it has said it is disappointed by reports of the new Commission.
According to the American Embassy, the claims of this commission are unfounded, misleading, and fallible.
Democratic Party of Kosovo parliamentary group chief Memli Krasniqi indicated that stance The PDK for demarcation is very clear and nothing has changed.
While, in this regard, Kosovo Initiative MP Enver Hoti has said the Commission is on a good track.
According to him, external reactions to this commission are unnecessary pre-pressions.
I think all the others from anyone who comes are unnecessary pressures and leave us to realize there is any possible pressure”, Hoti said.
MP Hoti from the party NISMA also said they support the current State Commission's report to come to the truth.
We expect the final State Commission report, and we have no dilemma for presenting the full report with all necessary official information until they complete this report. We support the current state Commission's report to come to the truth about Montenegro's demarcation, what happened and what is the truth”, he stressed.
While the head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo parliamentary group Ahmet Isufi said they do not comment on the American Embassy's statement.
Vetevendosje MP Rexhep Selimi stressed that the government has the chance and time enough to argue claims that Kosovo is losing territory.
He said they're waiting for the Commission to do the right job.
“We are waiting for the Commission to do the right job and come up with the argument that Kosovo is losing territory”, Selimi said.
Telegram has tried to get a promotion from LDK parliamentary group chief Avdullah Hoti, but that was impossible.
