In a research conducted by the Praportr newspaper within the Preportr Organization, the presence of university professors at the UPI related to politics has been noted. This, according to research, is affecting the quality of the university. It also affects academic advances that are made, at one time hindering the commitment of serious professors.
The research finds that “from 54 professors who have the philosophical faculty, 14 of them carrying or carrying political functions, including 9 in PDK, 2 from AKR, 1 from LDK and 1 from Vetevendosje.” In general, from the four schools placed in research, it turned out that 50 university professors are part or have passed on to political parties. Including here, including Rector Marjan Demaj, who had run for MP from the PDK list.
Dukagjin Pupovci, an expert in the field of education, has said of the research that the interference of politics in universities is more present in totalitarian and transition countries. He has further protected these professors by saying that their involvement in politics does not automatically affect their academic duties.
