Naser Deva of Peja has called on his son Homeland to return from Syria, which is now standing there for five years.
Nasser doubts that his 27-year-old son had radicalised during studies in Pristina.
And you've gone to a place without our permission, you've gone to a place, in a meaningless war, in a war that we don't belong to, but I'm aware that you're not the main one. I'm aware that you're a victim like me, mother, Arber (brother) and others. Turn around. Use the opportunity to return to Kosovo”, Naser Deva told Radio Free Europe.
Since he left Kosovo in 2012, Naseri says he has not spoken to Homeland at all, since he only talks to his mother.
Atlandu, a student at the Faculty of Engineering in Pristina, is believed to have first gone to Turkey to continue on in Syria in July 2013.
It is believed to be fighting alongside the so-called Islamic State.
Nasser hopes that with the end of the war in Syria and the debacle of the militant group Islamic State, his son Atland will return home.
