The Central Election Commission has long ago approved the spending report on organising the Kosovo Republic's Parliamentary Assembly for Pre-elections, which were held on 11 June 2017. According to this report, the overall cost of organising these elections is 4m and 38m and 768 euros, writes Indexline.
Meanwhile, the October 22nd regular municipal elections cost a total of 5m euros. CEC Chairman Valdete Daka in a proposal for Indexline had said the preparation process had gone according to plan and deadlines.
It has shown that the amount expected to seize these elections is drawn from between 4.5m and 5m euros.
We know the amount at the end, but compared to past elections, there are between 4.5m and 5m euros. It always depends on what time it is maintained, how long it will be in second rounds in municipalities, how many runoffs there will be at the QNR recounts. These usually change the amount, but we plan 4.5 or 5 million” there once, she's cleared up.
Daka has added that the largest amount of tools goes for brokers' payments.
The largest amount as usual goes to the commissioners, their payments are most of the amount going for elections. The amount is about 4.5 to 5 million, but it doesn't mean it's going to be that much, it could happen even less”, she said.
Meanwhile, the runoff, held in 19 municipalities on November 19th, is estimated to have received half the amount of regular elections, which cost about 5m euros.
