There is no end to Maria Sharapova. Russian tennis has been put under investigation by Indian police for fraud and criminal conspiracy in a case involving an Imobiliare agency.
It's “Homestad Infrastructure”, which has benefited millions of dollars from potential buyers for a project called “IIes by Maria Sharapova”, which had to build supercogmatic heliport apartments on their terraces, as well as a tennis academy, writes Top Channel.
Sharapova, 5 times winner of the “Grand Slam”, paid a visit to India to launch this project, and even a ceremony took place on this occasion.
Police launched the investigation into the matter on November 16th, while Piyush Singh, the lawyer representing all fraud buyers, said any action was taken because the project was linked to Maria Sharapova's name.
If Russian tennis is to be found guilty, it risks being sentenced to up to 7 years in prison.
