The Democratic League of Kosovo has officially warned that it is considering legal opportunities to reject the election outcome in Pristina and Dragash.
Through a communique, the LDK has said it guarantees its voters that “will use all constitutional and legal mechanisms to protect their will expressed in local elections, separately in cases in which irregularities are recorded, such as Pristina and Dragashi”.
The LDK has also said that “deems that the Supreme Court's decision violates the constitutional right of the LDK candidate, because it does not give it the possibility of transparently proving the results through the recount process. The LDK also considers that the Supreme Court's decision is unfounded, meaningless and unreasonable in the fact that, this decision in its reasoning, although acknowledging irregularities recorded during the development of the election process in the Pristina municipality, does not allow the recount of ballot boxes as the only mechanism to correct violations and errors recorded by our officials on election day”.
According to the LDK, the “is important that each vote of our citizens be clarified in each ballot box, so there is no need to be feared by the opening of these ballot boxes except those who have made manipulations in different forms on election day”.
“The LDK is surprised at how Vetevendosje has been cured, even threatening and blackmailing independent constitutional bodies, only not allowing the much-desired recount of all Pristina citizens”, said the party communique, led by Isa Mustafa.
“We consider that the failure to allow the dawning of the truth about the voting process in the Pristina municipality is contrary to the goal and declaration of all political subjects for a fair and democratic election process”, the LDK has said.
According to the LDK, the capital's <x0) citizens deserve to know the truth so that in the next four years they will be guided by a legitimate and uncontested president of no one.”
The LDK has said that “respects all justice system bodies and invites them not to fall prey to lynching and threatening Vetevendosje campaigns, but to decide according to facts and laws in effect independently and impartially”.
