She was serving a 746-year prison sentence of members of the Kumanovo Group, including her father.
“We are very concerned with this injustice once again to Albanians. We have been waiting for an important step like the Macedonian government, as well as the Albanian government, in Kosovo and Albania”, Melissa said, which was part of the citizens' group that protested in Pec tonight.
Macedonia's flag was burned during this protest.
Melissa Zekij criticised the two Kosovo governments -- the past and the current -- which, according to her have done nothing for Kosovo boys imprisoned in Macedonia.
And we know who has led them to their position. Citizens have voted them in hopes they have something to do for the fighters, for all those who have fought for this country and the ideal, but in fact the prime minister was seen as not giving a statement about the Kumanovo case”, Melissa Zekij said during the sontem protest.
Seven of the accused have been sentenced to life imprisonment and 13 to 40 years in prison.
