Days ago, the Ministry of Trade and Industry has asked the EU Office in Kosovo to pressure U. NMIK for withdrawing from the CEFTA Agreement preamble, due to the risk that any member state might refuse changing the pre-mult of the agreement, where Kosovo is represented by UNMIK's name.
Asked about this, the EU Office in Kosovo has said that, although it supports any agreement between the Western Balkan states, including the CEFTA Agreement, member states must themselves resolve issues pertaining to this agreement. “On any issues related to CEFTA rules and their implementation, we encourage parties to address through CEFTA Secretariat”, the EU Office's response to Kosovo granted to the paper.
