Kosovo EP rapporteur: Dialogue with Serbia should come to an end

The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Igor Sholtes, estimates that dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia lacks a monitoring mechanism that confirms implementation of the agreements on the ground.
These comments have been made by Walters talking about the idea of commitment of the United States to talks on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, about what Kosovo insists.
Sholtes, who has long been named rapporteur for Kosovo in the EP, instead of Austrian Eurodepute Ulrike Lunacek, comes from the EP Green Party group, and is grandson of the renowned Slovenian politician in the former Yugoslavia, Edward Kardel.
Speaking of his impressions following his recent visit to Pristina, he says this was not his first visit to Kosovo”.
“In the past I have visited this country many times in the quality of the director of the Slovenian Directorate for Public Procurement and Chairman of the Court of Auditors of Slovenia, so I am aware of the challenges and problems facing Kosovo. There is still room for improving the situation in some areas”, Sholtes told the Serbian newspaper “Danas”, telegraphy broadcast.
Asked about the possibility of becoming as fast as possible the Association of Serbian municipalities, Sholtes says he hopes that “soon all agreements will be signed within Kosovo-based dialogue. Serbia and will be fully and trusted, including that AKS.”
Sholtes praised the start of Serbia's internal <x0log for resolving the Kosovo issue, saying he welcomes this initiative until it is guided openly and pragmaticly. “I hope this could lead to a full normalisation of relations between Serbia and Kosovo”, he said.
Responding to the question of what you expect to achieve in the next phase of Brussels' dialogue, Sholtes points out that “this dialog cannot be endless”.
