Every year in Kosovo, around 1,300 people are victims of violence

Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, hosted the Coalition of NGOs for the Protection of Children (KOMF), Valbona Qitaku, Director of the Environment “Liria” in Gjilan, Nazife Jonuzi, and Teuta Abrasin, representative of the Organisation for the Fight of Human Being Trafficking.
On the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women, marked on November 25th, the heads of these centres announced to the prime minister with their activity in protecting the lives and health of victims of violence and the difficulties facing housing centres.
The International Day's Sign on Elimination of Violence Against Women called for global action to raise awareness worldwide of the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
In this case, Prime Minister Haradinaj expressed gratitude for the work they do, stressing that institutional care should be increased for all housing in Kosovo.
At the meeting, it also became known that police reports that each year about 1,300 people in Kosovo are victims of various forms of violence.
