U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he could soon appoint a special adviser to the investigation into the former president's time agreement, Barack Obama, in which a Russian company has bought the Canadian firm, whose property was 20% of uranium supplies from the United States.
In his testimony yesterday, Mr. Sessions told the House Justice Committee that he will decide soon on the issue.
We will co-operate with legislation regarding the appointment of special prosecutor” and make the decision “without political influence”, said Sessions.
US President Donald Trump, and several Republicans in Congress, have called on the Justice Department to appoint a special consultant for the 2010 sale investigation of Canadian confirmation to the Russian state company Rosatom.
