Haradinaj: KSF transformation into FAK guarantees Kosovo, region security

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said that transforming KSF into the Kosovo Armed Forces (FAK) is the process guaranteeing the security of all Kosovo citizens, all communities, as well as contributing to regional security.

The government of the Republic of Kosovo is convinced and proud of the Kosovo Security Force's achievements. The followed path of the institution and members of the KSF is the path based on commitment, sacrifice and honesty. Today, the KSF is professional, multiethnic, as well as trained on the democratic standards and principles of security forces”, Haradinaj wrote on Facebook, broadcast Koha.net.

He has added that, “the transformation of KSF into the Kosovo Armed Forces (FAK) is the process that guarantees the safety of all Kosovo citizens, all communities, and contributes to regional security”.

Haradinaj has also written on the number of communities in the KSF, which he says will increase in the future.

The process will be a guaranteed and secure success, with maximum involvement of all communities in Kosovo. Success in the integration of non-US communities in KSF is fully visible: in total, 10.07 percent of KSF members are from non-most communities, while 4.2 per cent of KSF members are from the Serb community. The Kosovo Armed Forces will have this way of including communities, with the goal of increasing their number”, Haradinaj has written.

He has said efforts to achieve KSF transformation in FAK will intensify.
