The resolution that Facebook Messinger has so far supported has been 2K, while the new update will enable users to submit photos of resolution to 4096 x 4096 pixels. The Facebook Messenger application will soon support the high resolution of photographs sent to users, Facebook reports.

The resolution that Facebook Messinger has so far supported has been 2K, while the new update will enable users to submit photos of resolution to 4096 x 4096 pixels.

The surveillance for photo with the highest 4K resolution is currently present in iPhones and Android for users from the US, Canada, France, Australia, Great Britain, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

Facebook reports that updates will be present in other countries over the coming weeks.
