In the phase of preparing the draft document for amending the Law to fund political parties, respectively, where it regulates the reporting and auditing of financial mirrors of political subjects, the European Union has provided suggestions, thus rejecting the proposal that political parties select their own audiences, writes Koha Ditore today.
In a discussion organised by the organisation “Democracy Plus”, the EU Office Policy Official in Kosovo, has stated that any institutional mechanism that assumes responsibility for auditing political parties' finances should be independent and immune from political pressure. As such, the working team's proposal that audiences elect political parties has said it fails to meet these standards.
