Macedonia's Interior Ministry said yesterday that citizens of Serbia and Montenegro have been arrested “due to misuse of tourist residence and because they had not adjusted the position in Macedonia”.
During the search of cafes, restaurants and clubs in Tetovo and Gostivar, the night between Saturday and Sunday, 16 residents of Macedonia have been arrested due to drug possession and lack of personal documents, Radio Free Europe's Macedonian-language programme has reported.
Police and inspection have jointly controlled 31 objects in these two cities of Macedonia.
Because of violations of the laws, 19 locals have been closed, between 15 and 30 days in length.
