One study says cell phones increase the risk of brain cancer by 170%, but a radiation expert says it cannot be entirely true.
This is a question every mobile phone user wants to know the answer and science offers some data, writes the Daily Mail.
In 2011, the International Cancer Research Agency (IARC) classified mobile phone radiation as cancerous in group 2B.
Classification is based mainly on evidence from population studies.
A study by the INTERPHONE group funded by the European Union and another led by L. Hardell, a Swedish epidemiologist, showed an increasing risk (40-170 percent) of the growth of gliomas, a mountain of brain cancer, in people using mobile phone for 30 minutes a day, and more, for more than ten years.
