The Education Ministry has signed memorandum of understanding with ten collaborative organisations on the occasion of launching the campaign “all together for better education in Kosovo”, where, in this case, Education Minister Shyqit Bytyci has demanded that the Kosovo Government split the budget for establishing the quality of education in the country.
Meanwhile, this memorandum of understanding shows the August pledge to carry out its duties in establishing the quality of education in Kosovo.
Minister Bytyqi said the Ministry of Education has made a series of reforms in the past and has produced an additional set of documentation so that Kosovo can have as good education and European standards, but to continue in progress according to it, overall mobilization is needed.
“In terms of the Ministry of Education, we will make efforts to join partners, create a genuine co-operation to do the best possible for youth education, for the good of the country, for the sake of developing our country's perspective. Over the next few years SEST will engage to have better textbooks and more space to carry out the whole day's learning process. Meanwhile, I, as minister, will be persistent to ask the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to share more budgets for education, to prioritize education, not only declaratively, but truly to be in reality today. Education needs to be a priority in our country. If that is how we will be decided together, education will start to be what we expect and want to be in Kosovo”, Bytyqi said.
He talked about test P. The ISA, which stressed that this result has shown that the quality of education in Kosovo must change, causing Kosovo to have once and for all better standards.
Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Christian Heldt, said that the PISA results are of concern to the whole community and that all actors' commitment is needed to improve the quality of education.
He added that he feels impressed by the scope of all sides to take a step towards this issue, while adding that Germany pledges closer co-operation.
“To show this commitment, we like Germany pledge to co-operate more closely, and we invite all parties to take the vow of action and take the first steps for better education for our children. I'm convinced that Government and, first of all, August and all sides will receive these requests regarding this campaign seriously”, he stressed.
And today's campaign has just called it the starting point of raising the quality of education the leader of the GIZ team. CDB Boris Scharlowski, who in this case added that the issue needs long-term commitment.
According to him, education is a common responsibility and progress can be reachable if the Government of Kosovo prioritizes education in Kosovo, while simultaneously increasing the public budget that will be spent in this area, where it added that today's education shapes Kosovo's future and this affects the improvement of the economic situation.
X0> Education is not only human right, it needs greater commitment. And that's why August, along with the major donors, NGOs, make efforts to improve the quality of education and join forces for better campaigning... Today is the starting point, and of course it requires long - term commitment. And that could happen if the Government of Kosovo made education a priority, that means to increase the budget. A 2 per cent per capita increase will ensure that within five years Kosovo achieves OSCE spending. The growth of this public budget will have to be translated into better quality by spending money on teaching training teachers and on competitive teaching textbooks”, he said.
In this case, the premiere of the first video of this campaign“Kosovo's Future Archekek” will also be shown, and other activities will be in its context today.
