Popular photo service Imgur has revealed that hackers in 2014 have stolen the data of 1.7 million users.
Imgurt has only recently come to know that there were massive thefts of user data three years ago.
Operational Director Roy Segal said Imgur doesn't collect names, addresses, or phone numbers of his users and that they have only e-mails and numbers.
The company has begun investigating the incident and believes hackers have broken the old algorithm, which was used at the time, broadcasts Kosovas.
Impgur improved the encryption in 2016.
