Montenegro's Prime Minister, Dusko Markovic, has ordered his Kosovo counterpart, Ramush Haradinaj, who has said today in the Kosovo Assembly that his vote is against demarcation under the current version, to be more responsible in the report.

The recent statement by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, made in Washington that demarcation of the border with Montenegro for the US is a closed issue in Podgorica, is estimated as a step towards the final resolution of the issue of the border between the two states.

“I want to order the Kosovo government, the new prime minister to be responsible for this issue, especially to be responsible to Montenegro as a friend who has supported Kosovo and understood the circumstances there. Montenegro has done its job in terms of demarcation, Markovic told Montenegro Radio.

The issue of ratification of the agreement is in competence to Kosovo institutions, I hope that responsible conduct and updates will be brought around it. I understand the circumstances in Kosovo, but Podgorica has done all that is part of it, and that the issue will no longer be discussed even for one centimeter”, Markovic added.

Kosovo and Montenegro have not yet defined the border line, even though the agreement between the two states has already been reached.
