Scary: Asteroid approaches the earth next week for so many miles, that's what can happen (Video/Photo)

An asteroid estimated to be up to 100 meters wide is set for a distance close to Earth next week, when it will fly at a distance of only 27,000 miles above the surface or, as some scientists have said, very close. Space Rock called asteroid 2012 [...]
Space Rock called asteroid 2012 The TC4, it is about 30-100m large, will fly with just 1/8 of the distance between Earth and Moon on 12 October, Periscope broadcast, reported “Daily Mail”.

Following his find last month, scientists now assure that he will make a safe passage.
With this close approach, NASA will have the opportunity to test its observatory network for its planetary defence system, in case an asteroid hit Earth.
“This time we're adding another layer of effort, using this asteroid flight to test the global network of asteroid detection and forwarding, assessing our ability to work together in response to the finding of a real asteroid<x1 threat, Dr. Michael Kelley.

Scientists expect the asteroid to return for a meeting near Earth this year, but it is not known how close it will come.
Recent surveys, conducted on July 27th and 31, and then again on August 5th, found that TC4 2012 will pass within 1/8 of Monday's distance from the planet.
They think land will be offered at a distance of some 44,000 miles (27,300 km).
That's far enough to lose our geostationary satellites, according to their estimates.
The Asteroid is far from the earth, some 35 million miles [35 million km] (56 million km]) at the time when observers have calculated their arrival near the earth.
This asteroid travels at speeds around 30,000 mph (14 km) per second.
If the asteroid hit Earth, this could lead to a much more devastating level than the asteroid that hit Chelyabinsk City in Russia in 2013. /Periscopi/
