Russia successfully tested the nuclear missile, Satan 250. The state defence minister confirmed the testing.
The rocket, also known as “RS-28 Sarma”, launched from the Plestek Centre and flew about 5700 kilometers before hitting the target in Kura.
Three submarines carrying nuclear weapons also undertook tests of ballistic missiles.
According to the Russian army, a pair of submarines tested the missiles on the Okhostk Sea in northern Japan, near North Korea, while the other was launched on the Barents Sea in the Arctic Sea.
The Russian Defence Minister said in a statement that his country's military forces had taken over some tests to manage its strategic nuclear force.
According to him, all targets and training have been successfully completed.
Russia is seeking to produce another generation of cross-ccircular ballistic missiles. This kind of generation will be able to destroy any kind of protection.
“RS-28 Sarma”, or as otherwise known “Satan 2”, can be used in 2019 or 2020 and will hold 40 megaton nuclear warheads, many times more powerful than nuclear bombs thrown at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
