What he gave Russian hackers for more than two years, various information was its heritage and most specifically antivirus software produced by a Russian company, Kaspersky Lab, which is used by 400 million people worldwide, including two dozen American government agencies, reports The New York Times”, the Periscope broadcast.

Israeli officials who had retaliated on its Kaspersky network announced the United States of America's extensive Russian intervention, which was not reported earlier, leading to a decision just last month to order Kaspersky be removed from government computers.
The Russian operation, described by numerous people who have been informed of the case, is known to have stolen classified documents from an employee of the National Security Agency who had stored numerous information irregularly on his home computer, where he had the Caspian antivirus installed.
Like most security programs, Kaspersky Lab products require access to anything stored on a computer to clean it up for viruses or other dangers. This procedure, a routine for such software, provided a perfect tool for Russian intelligence to exploit and monitor computer content to get everything they found and that was in their interest.

The National Security Agency and the White House refused to comment on this article. The Israeli Embassy refused to comment, and the Russian Embassy did not respond to the requests for comments.
Kaspersky Lab denied any knowledge or involvement in Russian revenge. “Kaspersky Lab has never helped, nor will any government in the world, with its efforts in cyber-sceptive”, the company said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. Kaspersky Lab also said that “respectfully requests any relevant and verifiable information that would enable the company to start an investigation as soon as”.
For years, there has been speculation that Caspian's renowned antivirus software could secure a back door for Russian intelligence. More than 60 percent, or $34 million, from the annual sales of the $633 million company comes from consumers in the United States and Western Europe. Among them, there have been almost two dozen American government agencies including the State Department, the Department of Defence, the Department of Energy, the Department of Justice, the Treasury Department and the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.
Steven L. Hall, a former Russian chief of operations in C.I.A., said his former agency has never used the Caspian software, but other federal agencies have done so./Periscopi/
