Publishing calls for their vote in “Facebook” has fined six candidates for municipal assembly.
BIRN and Internews Kosova has carefully conveyed the actions of political subjects and their candidates during the election silence and has deposited a number of complaints about breaking silence in PZAP.
PZAP has found six allegations of violations based.
The candidate for a member of Ferizaj's Municipal Assembly from LDK, Burim Ugzhmajli, has been fined 250 euros for breaking election silence.
The same in response has been declared that it has not known that resetting an earlier call is a violation of electoral silence.
However, P ZAP has not taken that claim into account and has decided to fine the candidate for violations.
Another candidate for Ferizaj's Municipal Assembly, from PDK ranks, Bahri Hasani has been fined 200 euros for breaking the election silence.
Hasan had distributed into his account in “Facebook” PDK and its number.
In response to the complaint, Hasani has claimed that the time of publishing the photograph was before and not during the election silence and has called, among other things, the complaint of BIRN and Internews Kosova as “entencious”.
However, P ZAP has assessed the evidence as “cret and convincing” and proving the alleged violation.
Meanwhile, two candidates for the Municipal Assembly of Fushe-Kosovo, Uke Kaluldra and Ali Zogjan from LDK, have been fined a total of 200 euros for breaking the election silence.
Meanwhile, Imer Pantina from the AKR, candidate for the Cline Municipal Assembly, has been convicted of violating the General Election Law by 200 euros, as distributing photos and other materials in “Facebook”
Mirbe has also received Prizren's Communist Assembly candidate from political subject Kosova Turk Democratic Party KPDP for breaking the election silence.
The candidate in response has declared that it has not been aware that the distribution of photographs with calls for voting for candidates in “Facebook” is break of silence. However, the candidate's claim has not been accepted by PZAP.
BIRN and Internews Kosovo Monitoring team has so far filed 110 complaints to PZAP, of which political parties have so far been sentenced to 98 thousand euros.
