The overall harmonised consumer prices index in the country is higher by 0.1% in September 2017, compared to August 2017.
This is mainly explained with the rise of consumer prices in COICOP subgroups: milk, cheese and eggs (0.9%); vegetables (5.5%); gas and other fuels (1.4%), with a common impact of these sub-groups of 0.4 percent in IHCK.
The upgrade was largely neutralised by the decline of consumer prices in several sub-groups of COICOP, with a common impact of (-0.3%) on IHCK.
The rate of inflation measured in September 2017 was 1.7% by September 2016.
The overall harmonised consumer price index is highest for 1.7% in September 2017, compared to September 2016. This is largely explained with some changes in prices of articles and services in COICOP groups and subgroups.
Consumer prices are noted in subgroups: bread and cereal (1.0%); meat (1.1%); oil and fat (3.5%); sugar and sugar (4.5%); coffee, tea and cocoa (9.5%); tobacco (7.4%); shoes (4.0%); electricity, gas and other fuel (.1%) - power price building in September 2017) for 27.
The upgrade was neutralised, mainly by the drop in prices in this period in subgroups: milk, cheese and eggs (-1.4%); purchase of vehicles (-1.7%); telephone and telephax devices
(-8.4%); audio-visual equipment, information processing photo (-6.5%) with a common impact of these subgroups from (-0.4%) on IHCK.

The implementation of new electricity-reducing tariffs for family consumers from April 1st 2017, approved by the Kosovo Republic Energy Regulatory Office of March 31st 2017, is the cause of a change in the electricity price every month, sealed by the Kosovar Company for Electricity Supply (KES/CO).
