Presidency: Serbian judges, prosecutors prevented Serbia from decreeing

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's office has come up today with a press statement concerning what 42 judges and 14 community prosecutors have today had to decree. But this has not happened since the same have not come to the president.

On the basis of the presidency's declaration, this decree has not occurred because Serbian judges and prosecutors have been hampered by Serbia.

It also proves, according to the presidency, that there is another failure and the EU's inability to implement the Justice Agreement.

Today, on October 17th 2017, the president's office was ready to expect the arrival of forty-two (42) judges and 14th (14) prosecutors from non-a majority communities in the Republic of Kosovo, who, after the decree by the president of the Republic of Kosovo. Hashim Thaci would have to join the judicial and prosecutorial system of the Republic of Kosovo.

The decree of judges and prosecutors from non-global communities in the Republic of Kosovo is also one of the affirmative measures the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo take to achieve a full and effective equality of members of communities in all areas of life, economic, social, political and cultural life. Today's act of oath had that purpose for the full implementation of the Justice Agreement reached in Brussels on February 10, 2015.

Today, the decree of judges and prosecutors from non-provision communities did not occur because judges and prosecutors candidates did not come for decree. They did not come because they were stumbled by the Republic of Serbia, with the sole goal of not allowing their integration into Kosovo's judicial and prosecutorial system. There is this one step from the many steps the Republic of Serbia takes against our citizens, because the incriminating of judges and prosecutors from the ranks of no majority communities in the Republic of Kosovo has a big role in the lives of communities, in realising their rights and in ensuring equal access to justice.

At the same time, today's act of preventing candidates for judges and prosecutors from coming to the president today is another failure and other EU inability as mediators in this process of implementing the Justice Agreement.

Despite this deliberate failure orchestrated by Serbia, the Republic of Kosovo will continue to function, based on the constitutional principles of all involvement, so we invite the Justice Agreement parties once again to fulfill their obligations. The Republic of Kosovo has fulfilled its obligations in every respect.
