The great musician (Photo) dies

Popular Australian musician and AC mentor/ DC, George Young died yesterday after an illness, his family reported.

With pain in the heart we must announce the death of our brother and mentor, George Young”, writes the popular rock band AC/DC on his website.

Without his help and direction there would be no AC/DC”, the group stresses.

The cause of death was not revealed following his family's request.

Young was the brother of the founders of the AC/ DC, Angus and Malcom Young.
