The Ministry of Finance answers to veterans: Here's when you get pensions

The KLA veterans are demanding their pensions at all costs. They're even saying that they have to make it on Friday, two days before elections are held. KLA veterans leader Hysni Gucati says they don't care much about where the government gets the money. But a conscience [...]
Kosovo Liberation Army veterans will wait a long time to receive their pensions. Even the latest threats that unless they get their pensions, they won't get to the polls, they won't do business.
Their pensions will only come to account when the Kosovo Assembly holds the session and approves the budget revision.
And this institution has not yet warned a meeting. In the country they say that the session announcement is made public on the web site, and they say there is no information about when to gather MPs.
At the Ministry of Finance, they have told Gazeta Express that they have completed all issues dealing with veterans' pensions.
“Minister Hamza, despite finding a very bad situation, without tools in the veterans' fund from last government, has made the best possible solution by finding tools and accommodated the entire demand for veterans' salaries in budget review. Budget review has all means for veterans' salaries. The budget revision proposed by the Ministry of Finance has been approved by Government and sent to the Assembly”, the ministry's response reported.
In this institution, they have also suggested that the budget review has been discussed and approved in the Commission on Business and Finance, and at the moment of approval from the Parliament, the Finance Ministry will issue veterans' salaries.
So it's a matter dependent on the Parliament, where we as minister are awaiting the Parliament decision. Everything that is dependent on the Ministry of Finance has been completed in the best possible way by not leaving this precious category of our society behind and all has been finalised to the reform legislation in power”.
Meanwhile, KLA veterans leader Hysni Gucati, during a statement to Express, has said that two weeks ago he met with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who has pledged that the money for veterans, 26 million, has been split.
I don't care where the government gets the money. We are interested in the Government implementing the” law, says the head of the KLA veterans' organisation.
However, according to Gucatit, despite the prime minister's pledge that “has carried out work on veterans' payments”, obligations to this war category have not been fulfilled, as long as they have not received what is due them.
“I don't know how they're said to have fulfilled their obligations, when there's no money past”, Gucati says.
He warns that they will soon come up with a warning if pensions do not arise, while, according to him, their reactions are not related to the campaign and veterans are not interested in the campaign, but to receive pensions.
However, last week Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has suggested he has finished working with veterans. The government chief has indicated that the veterans must now deal with the Parliament.
“We've completed our share. The government has completed what it had to do, divided the required section, even rehabilitation for prosthetics that have been pending. The veterans' money is split. So we're done, now the address is in the House. In the government, there is nothing to seek for any veteran”, Haradinaj has said.
During yesterday's Commission for Business and Financa chairman, deputy from LDK ranks Lumir Abdixhiku, has said the government is adding false veterans' lists for election purposes, and the money for these veterans will be obtained from health insurance funds.
The “Budget has been removed millions of euros from the money health insurance funds to cover huge veterans' lists. As long as hospitals are left without drugs, without needles and oxygen, the power mafia expands its lists for election purposes. ”
Abdixhiku further added that while veterans' certificates are issued, at this pace the state will have to pay 100m euros only for veterans.
