The Locky virus, which had lost track about a year ago, that took the equipment hostage and then demanded money to get it back.
Ransomware, as it is technically called, has hit 11.5 % of businesses at a global level, affecting a lot of 3 million email addresses. These are the conclusions of the two Checkopint secreture and Trustwave security companies.
According to the latter, Locky's last version is called Ykcol, so the name of the descendants backwards and between September and October has been modified three times. Locky began to disperse in February 2016 and eventually became one of the world's most important viruses. It is transmitted especially by a link email, since downloading it installs the virus that encrypts every user file and makes it unproliferation. Then a message requires money with bitumen.
