The wearing of a headscarf has been rigorously applied by the so-called “Iran's moral police” and has been present since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, reports The Independent”, broadcast Periscopi.
Women who do not wear hyjab or who put it in a bad way face severe penalties ranging from various fines to prison.
State-funded ads that appear in the form of bibords in Iran's cities represent those who do not cover their hair as corrupt and dishonest.
But women are leading protests against mandatory hyjab across the country, and some of them have shaved their hair to appear in public without wearing a hyjab.
Mrs. Alinejad runs the campaign “My secret license” and often shares pictures of women living in Iran who have enjoyed a moment of secret freedom by removing the hyjab outside an internal environment. She's been asking men to support her campaign with the hashtag of “ #meninhib” and sharing photos with their heads covered while women were not covered with hyjab.
Mrs. Alinejad has received 30 images of men wearing a hyjab since her call on July 22nd./Periscopi/
