According to this announcement, I The KSHPK has ordered the vaccine of all children from nine months old until age seven.
The announcement shows that 200 cases that have been presented with measles disease since June, 150 have already been addressed, while 49 are under treatment.
This is the full announcement of the Kosovo National Public Health Institute:
MMR vaccine notification
Analysing Kosovo's epidemiology situation, the National Committee on Influencing Diseases, and the PSIA has imposed days before the vaccine teams:
Let all children vaccinate from the ninth month of life by 1 dose of 0.5m!
) If the child is 5 years old, he should be reevaluated with MMR and there is no need to be expected to age 6-7.
) If the child is over 7 years old and is not vaccinated at all, then it is vaccinated by 1 dose of MMR immediately and a month later with an MMR dose.
The good news in this middle is that the number of measles is marking a decline. Of the 200 cases that have been submitted since June, 150 have already been addressed, while 49 are under treatment.
However, we call once again on all Kosovo citizens to take all the above-mentioned measures in order to eliminate the measles epidemic in the country.
