According to the proposed tax, luxury car owners are to pay for nearly a real estate a year, besides other provisions such as insurance, it transmits Telegrafi.
The huge problem is expected to be for collectors, who keep the cars exposed, which must pay about one million euros a year.
At the same time, the law risks shutting down large companies such as Lamborghini, Ferrari or Bentley, leaving many employees unemployed.
To increase the next year's budget, the French government has also demanded taxes on luxury yachts and precious metals, which are mainly ornaments.
