Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj has said that introducing demarcation as a condition for visa liberalisation is the result of its neglect to state institutions.
Our priorities, he said, will be visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens as an injustice that has been done so far and that this issue must be closed as soon as possible.
He has not been able to talk about deadlines and visa liberalisation, but said the decision on this issue is taken by Brussels, not Pristina.
Limaj said official Pristina will fulfill its obligations in the report on obligations emerging from the EU.
The issue of demarcation said it is an issue that has not been completed and has not been voted in the Kosovo Assembly since it has not been ratified.
As for the demarcation version, he said he cannot comment on whether there will be new version of border demarcation.
This version does not have 2/3 of the deputies' votes. Therefore, the commission needs to look into and whether it is possible to correct and we will act on recommendations”, Limaj said in RTK.
“Until it is not ratified, there is no agreement with Montenegro for marking the” border line, the deputy prime minister added.
