Greek police have provided details Thursday about the murder of the Albanian pair in Pereister in Athens in February.
For this event, police have arrested four people -- two Albanian and two Greek citizens -- while another Albanian citizen, who according to the police, is one of the two testators to execute the Thanas and Eleni Curi.
Athens Public Security Directorate chief Lieutenant General Christos Papazafeiris appeared before reporters Thursday in a press release.
As it turned out from the investigation, the two priests had a huge financial debt to the victim and therefore ordered his execution, but also his wife's, paying the killers of 30,000 euros for each of the victims.
That is why the killers left the disabled son and the 17-year-old daughter of the victims alive.
The officials were ordered to execute only the 53 - year - old debt owner and his wife in order to prevent witnesses.
The Greek police chief said all those arrested have admitted their guilt and have accurately described all the actions and roles each had in the event.
On February 3, 2017, the Thanas and Elena Curi were hit with firearms by people who had been able to escape in their homes. The woman died on the spot, and the husband passed away a few days later at the hospital.
