Kosovo police in operation of implementing operational command “Stop the drugs at the school” over the period from 16,10,2017 to 22,10.2017 has implemented its police activities both in the prevention field and in operational field.
In this case, police announce they have made visits and contacts with school personnel, in co-operation with other relevant institutions, lectures have been held, tracts have been distributed, and police officials are engaged for patrols around schools.
In the operational field, persons who have attended the 300m security zone around schools have been checked. Also checked were cars, locals and other suspected sites.
According to police on the reporting period, 195 visits and contacts with school personnel, 418 school patrols, 498 controlled persons, 220 controlled cars, 8 controlled locals, 10 school lectures, 450 participants, students, and distributed 500 tracts.
As a result of increased commitment, 20 cases have been initiated, and 23 persons (12 drug and 11 consumer dealers have been arrested).
Meanwhile, they have confiscated: 831.2 grams of marijuana (1752 g) near schools, 813.68 in realisation of the plan), 1.2 grams of cocaine, and 799.6 euros.
Based on statistical data and field activities, the largest number of cases have been initiated in the 300m security perimeter around schools such as parks, roads, and other areas.
