About 200 organisations, mainly in Russia and Ukraine, have been affected by the computer virus Bad Rabbit, four months after the global cyberattack, NotPetya, who was identified in these two states, announced today the specialised society “Caspian Lab”.
“After the Russian computer security company, almost 200 targets have been affected”, mainly in Russia but also in Ukraine and to a smaller extent in Turkey and Germany.
“Kaspersky Lab” announced that the attack was identified yesterday morning, and added that the affected companies have hand-installed Bad Rabbit, which was introduced in the form of a programme for installing software Adobe Flash, to infect computers.
Several Russian media were affected, including Fontanka, St Petersburg's leading information web, and the Interfax news agency, where the website continues to be out of service today.
