Trusting that we're the only civilization in the physical universe which is scientifically infinite shows not only a great ego but also an indisposed ignorance. But what happens when high-level officials confirm that?

In December 2012, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev issued a statement in a live interview broadcast simultaneously on five television channels.
