CEC reveals how many women and men are in the mayoral race

The Central Election Commission is in the process of preparing for local elections to end up in regular process, where the same ones will be organised on October 22nd.

According to figures by the CEC, the total number of candidates for mayor and asmblist of municipalities that have been certified for local elections is 7 thousand and 91 candidates.

While about where the majority of these candidates stand, CEC spokesman Valmir Elez has told us about the éndeksonline) that more belongs to candidates from the Communist Assembly ranks.

“Their biggest share are candidates for Municipal Places. In all, there are 6 thousand of 887 candidates, while the rest -- the remaining 204 candidates -- are candidates for the heads of municipalities”, Elesi has said.

Further, he has shown gender statistics of how many candidates belong to the male and female.

According to statistics, in this election, eight women and 196 males are part of the Communist countries' race for mayors, while there are 2,000 and 400 female and 4 thousand and 487 men”, Elesi has finished./Indexline/
