According to a statement posted on the government's website, they concluded in today's talks confirming there is enough room for improving bilateral relations between the two countries “92”, Periscopi broadcast.
Officials “stressed that Serbia should remain firmly committed to implementing reforms in order to become a member of the European Union in the near future”, adding the <x2 need for a strong will and insistence of all authorities and society to make significant progress in the issues of rule of law, media freedom, the fight against crime and corruption, and ensuring the best conditions for the lives of all citizens of Serbia<3>.
The statement added that Brnabiq “reiterated that the most important goal is to maintain peace and stability in the region, without which there is no economic progress, nor a European future for the” region.
She stressed that Serbia is still determined to open dialogue with Pristina and voiced confidence that opening domestic dialogue on Kosovo would lead to consensus and a compromise in resolving the issue of national interest for Serbia.
Yee “vuri noted that the United States of America is willing to offer any kind of assistance in order for Serbia to become a member of the European Union in the near future”, the statement said./Periscopi/
