US Ambassador to Tirana Donald Lu has spoken on the “Tahiri” case at the conference on fighting corruption. He says society must reveal the truth, since no one should be above the law.
The “in the last 27 years this country has faced a major problem, crime committed by powerful politicians. It is not appropriate to say whether Tahir is guilty or innocent. Society must reveal the truth. No one should be above the law. You gave this person your trust as a deputy by vote. You have the right to know the truth”, Lu said.
He added further that if Tahir is guilty, he must face justice.
