In the visit he made a few days ago in Kosovo, Albania's President, Ilir Meta, has faced the demand that Kosovo Albanians receive Albania's citizenship massively, from businessmen and to citizens who feel surrounded by an isolated wall that Kosovo has for years. This request by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is made, as according to him, Albania has constitutional commitment to equip Kosovo citizens with Albanian passports.
But Thaci's request has caused many concerns in bilateral reports, as well as in regional and international relations, and has become the subject of debate in both countries.
