The number of fatal accidents recently increased year-on-year. We see from Kosovo police statistics that in nine months, from January to September 2017 in traffic, 95 people have lost their lives.
And in the same period last year, there were 81 persons.
Where these victims predominate to be drivers, pedestrians, and passengers.
Injury accidents are also on the rise, while they have suffered declines in material damage. Meanwhile, hundreds of traffic tickets are pronounced each day for drivers who do not adhere to communications rules.

Of the 95 people who lost their lives in road traffic accidents during January 2017, 40 were drivers, 30 were pedestrians, and 25 were passengers.
“From 40 (40) dead drivers four (4) of them were motorists, three (3) were bikers as well as two (2) tractorists”, said further in police statistics.
The region of Pristina leads by the number of fatal accidents, the Ferizaj and Pec follow.
Accidents have occurred on magical, regional roads, city roads, local roads, highways, and so on.
Police constantly appeal for caution in communications, while eventually even awareness campaigns have been held to contribute to reduced the number of accidents.
