Mark Andrew Nicholas, 64, traveled more than 1,000 miles [1,000 km] from his home in Austin, Texas, to meet the girl, but when the police arrived was already waiting for him to be arrested, reports “Mail”, the Periscope broadcast.

The secret sex crimes detectives created a fake ad on a website on which Nicholls responded.
The advertising was deliberately unclear to encourage potential predators to be arrested later.
Nicholls reportedly sent a number of e-mails and texts to the detective who was presenting himself as a nine-year-old girl.
Orlando police say Nicholls, who is married and has two young children, has then speculatedly on the sexual acts he was planning to perform with the child.
Nicholls told the agency that he wanted to have sex with nine years old, but wanted to make sure that the girl's parents agreed on the case.
