A month's detention for the imam murder suspect in Dragash and his sé offered help to the victim

The Constitutional Court in Prizren has assigned a month of detention to suspects B.H. for killing imam in Dragash, as well as a month's detention of his father, I.H.
Until for the first one, the court said it was suspected of criminal activity “severe murder”, describing the other person's life as a deprivation in “a cruel or sly way”, for the second one said he suspected of criminal work “the failure of aiding”.
The court said that, in the case of the detention of the defendants, it has assessed that there are legal reasons for the appointment of this measure and from the evidence collected until this stage, it comes with suspicion that:
The defendant B.H., on 29.06.26, about 11:00 p.m., in the village of Zlipotok, the Dragas municipality, has deliberately deprived the deceased G.T. of life now. According to the ongoing investigation, the event is allegedly due to an earlier dispute between defendants and victims over the exploitation of a property (livania). The defendant B.H. has caused the victim acutely injured (abalone) as a result of which the victim G.T. has passed away at the scene.
Meanwhile, defendant I.H., (father of defendant B.H.) allegedly, even though he was close to the scene and has been able to offer help without risking himself or others, has not taken the necessary action to offer help to the victim, who was in direct danger to life.
When any of these facts are argued, they will be assessed in the next stages of criminal procedure”, the court says.
The judge of the preliminary procedure, based on material evidence collected to this stage, finding it as a basis for the suspicion of committing criminal acts by defendants, estimates that with the measure of detention, it will be achieved to ensure the presence of the defendants and that criminal procedures can be developed normally and without obstacles.

The detention measure is reasonable and legal, with the aim of managing the investigation procedure, obtaining material evidence, taking statements of witnesses and suspects, and securing the presence of defendants before justice institutions with the aim of clarifying the event, as well as preventing the escape of suspects, the Judge has estimated that other alternative measures would be insufficient for securing the presence of suspects and the unhindered course of the investigative phase, the court concludes.
